Pharmacy

The Pharmacy Technician reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.  The Registered Pharmacy Technician is responsible and professionally accountable for accurately and efficiently carrying out the technical tasks of pharmaceutical dispensing and compounding and for checking and approving the final release of product prior to administration to the patient. The pharmacy technician collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer in health and wellness promotion, disease prevention and chronic disease management. These activities are carried out in a manner that ensures patient safety and compliance with regulatory requirements, professional standards of practice, policies and guidelines, with due regard for ethical principles and protection of patient privacy and confidentiality.
