About Us
The Hornepayne Community Hospital is a 20-bed facility located in Northern Ontario, proudly serving a community population of approximately 900 residents. With a dedicated team of 65 employees, the hospital has been a cornerstone of care in the region for over 35 years. We offer a broad range of healthcare services tailored to meet the needs of our rural community, including a 24-Hour Emergency Department, Family Medicine Clinic, Diagnostic and Laboratory Services, Acute Care, a Long-Term Care Unit, and a dedicated Hospice Suite. Our mission is to provide the highest possible quality healthcare services that are equitable, sustainable, inclusive, responsive and guided by best-practice so that Hornepayne and surrounding areas have accessibility to safe, quality and timely care, close to home.
Land Acknowledgment
The Hornepayne Community Hospital acknowledges that we are gathered on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Treaty 9, 1905-1906, who have stewarded this land for generations. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging. We recognize their enduring connection to this land, water, and community.
